Rachel B. Rogers, RN, BSN, IBCLC

Rachel has nine years of experience working as a mother-baby nurse and as a lactation consultant both in a hospital and community setting. Rachel has a special interest in tethered oral tissues.  She is certified as a ‘TOTS: Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty Trained’ professional and continues to take new courses in the expanding field. She recently completed the certification for ‘Oral Habilitation of the Breastfeeding Dyad: Master Class for IBCLCs.’ Rachel successfully breastfed her son for twenty-two months (after many months of hardships), and is now on to breastfeeding her daughter…we’ll see how long she goes!

Rachel’s love of infants developed while serving as an assistant in a home-based daycare center for several years.  She also learned a great deal about breastfeeding from watching her baby sister (12 years younger) nursing at her mother’s breast for 9 months.  She knew that helping mothers and babies be successful at breastfeeding was her passion area and so she began her International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) studies.

In her spare time, you can find her listening to live music and checking out local coffee shops and craft breweries with her husband Ben and two kids.
